This exciting atmosphere continues to draw artists and entrepreneurs from all over the U.S.

The Shirt Factory

This stoic structure was  built in 1917 as the Jacobson & Son's Shirt Factory

Piazza purchased the Shirt Factory in 2002 and has replaced the decaying mechanical systems, repaired and uncovered the large casement windows. These windows were synonymous with an era in which brick mill buildings were designed and built to promote light, air and open space, which now offer artists and emerging businesses an atmosphere to grow and network in. Currently, there are four NYFA Grant Winners at the Shirt Factory.

The Brush Factory and the Pajama Factory

Since then, Piazza went on to develop two more of these fine old structures: The Brush Factory and the Pajama Factory.

The Brush Factory now offers live/work spaces, which is totally unique. With its 19’ ceilings, 9’x11’ windows, skylights and lofts, it's the perfect environment to create and thrive. The units at the Brush Factory are truly unique. Skylights, heavy timber columns 9'x10' windows and lofts make these spaces an exciting place to live or work.

The APARTMENTS AT THE PAJAMA FACTORY will be available in WINTER 2009 and will offer studio space AND ONE BEDROOMS from $650/month. THIS EXPANSION WILL BRING THE TOTAL NUMBER OF RESIDENTIAL UNITS AT THE PJ FACTORY TO 11.
